Lavandas lauki/ Lavender Fields

DSC_6413aVaru teikt, ka esmu piepildījusi vienu no manām vēlēšanās- jau 3 gadus esmu gribējusi apmeklēt lavandas laukus (Hitchin Lavender) pilnos ziedos.

DSC_6383aOn Saturday I realized one of my little dreams- to visit the nearby lavender fields (Hitchin Lavender) in full bloom. This year (maybe two weeks late) we did it. Even if it was for short visit, we collect lavender, soak up the perfume and beauty of lavender, as well masterly avoided bees and wasps, which were hovering and grooming around our legs. Definitely this is place where to come back with lunch time picnic or slow afternoon tea or just sit down in peace and quite. This is place where to return and recharge a sensory senses.

Seems, that the boys had a good time too, even if there were lots of bees and w
asps around what did not give a secure feeling at all. Me and Valdis also were a little bit concern about boys and their bare legs in shorts. I just hoped that none of them is allergic to wasp bites and I reassured myself that bites can strengths immunity. Have you heard about it? That’s what Latvians are thinking about bee and wasp bites, that they are good for humans, of course, in moderation (maybe one or up to two for adults). However, the trip ended without any accidents, but with full bags of lavender.

DSC_6425aP.S.

P.S. These dens were prepared for Wedding. I just can imagine how beautiful there is at night to sit at the wedding table with small lanterns inside and live (fragrant, bright and full of sounds) lavender field in front of you. Super romantic place for Weddings!
