This morning, my feeling is characterized by Latvian poet Imants Ziedonis “The Yellow Tale “:The sun was shining over the world like an egg yolk. And there was a life in it. Little light yellow chicks were coming to the earth through the sunbeams…(Read the full tale text here)
Of course, only Imants Ziedonis could so poetically capture the feeling of spring and put it into words. These words have been living with me for several months now and they have started to transform into objects around, making them alive and warm.
I enjoyed reading Imants Ziedonis tale – thank you for including the link to the complete tale. The yellow daffodil, to me, is the flower that welcomes Spring into the year. I greatly miss seeing them, their top heavy bodies, huddled together in clumps as if whispering important words in secret meetings by the side of the road or in the yards of the houses I pass by. They were everywhere in Washington but nowhere in Arizona. I should go to the store and buy a bunch for a vase on our dining room table. Wishing you and your lovely family a wonderful Easter!
Awww, such a nice said!!!! Hope you will get some daffodils. They are queens of Spring. 🙂
Priecīgas Lieldienas!
