On one of the sunny Saturday morning we decided to miss Lauris’s drama class and to go to nearby Woburn Safari Park. The summer is right time to brake roles, to be careless, to go for adventure, specially, if mums initiates to miss drama class!!! Before we didn’t see the park, we didn’t know that it was 100% worth. We all four were exited what we saw, experienced, discovered, and even Markus learn a new word ‘monkey’.
Man šķita, ka braucamā daļa bija patiesas sajūsmas vērta, jo vēl nekad nebiju redzējusi staigājam lāčus, lauvas, snauduļojam vilku tepat aiz mašīnas loga. Šad un tad uzdrīkstējāmies logu attaisīt, bet, kad lācis noplēsa mašīnai aiz mums dekoratīvo riteņa disku, tad sapratām, ka brīdinājums skaļrunī- braucot caur safari daļu, aizvērt logus un neizkāpt,- nebija joks.
Woburn Safari Park has two parts– drive trough and walking safari. In the drive trough part animals are walking and living around, they can attack your car any time and, if you are lucky, you can see them as close as possible. Waking part is more like all zoos, just this time more for smaller animals and sea creatures. For me the safari part was more exited because I had never seen bears, lions, wolves walking along the car window. Every now and then we were enough brave to open a part of window to take the pictures, but when we saw that bear stole the disk from the car behind, we realized that the warning to drive with closed windows and stay inside was not a joke.
This giraffe occupation was to be a model, because she was so beautiful sat near car road and let people to take photos in all her/his glory.
Ja nebūtu pievēruši laicīgi mašīnas logu, redzot, ka viens pērtiķis lēkšus pārvietojas mūsu virzienā, viņš noteikti būtu ienācis pie mums paciemoties. Ļoti ziņkārīgs un drošs radījums.
If we wouldn’t close the window, when we saw that this monkey straight away travelling to our car, then probably we would ended up to meet him in the car. He was so confident and curious.
The famous bear which attacked a car behind us. It looked like he is not first time doing this nought step. He needed just a minute to remove a car disk with his paw.
Arī glābēju mašīnas par laimi neizpaliek. Parasti uzturas netālu no bīstamākajiem dzīvniekiem. Piemēram, tiek brīdināts, ka lauvas var lekt uz mašīnas.
The rescuers cars luckily are everywhere or nearly everywhere, where dangerous animals are located. For example, we have been warned that lions can jump on the cars.
Laiks piknikam, izklaidēm spēļu laukumam un otrai parka daļai, kas līdzinās jebkuram zooloģiskajam dārzam.
It is time for a picnic, play ground and for the walking part, which as I said is quite similar to many other zoos.
This is moment before I trough away my camera and got in time to catch the boys. Markus was decided to go on slide on Lauris’s back.
What an awesome zoo! I think I would have been a little freaked out on a driving tour but it looks SOO cool.
It is really cool and you wouldn’t be freaked. 🙂 Check maybe around Italy there is also any safari type zoo!
I really need to go to a safari zoo! I’ve never been, but I long to animals outside of a traditional zoo type of setting. It looks as though you had such a nice time and I can’t believe HOW CLOSE THOSE MONKEYS GOT!!!
Great photos! And I would love to see what you ended up creating with Polyvore!! Send me over your profile!
Ya,safari park was a little bit extreme.:) Son will love it too.
Will try to create anything on Polyvore:):):) By now just learning:)
